AFTER 10th PROGRAMMES:-

1.GP RATING COURCE Between 17 to 25 years Eyesight is 6/6
2.DESK RATING COURSE Between 17 to 25 years Eyesight is 6/6
3.ENGINE RATING COURSE Between 17 to 25 years Eyesight is 6/6
4.SALOON RATING COURSE Between 17 to 25 years No
5.NCV COURSE Between 17 to 25 years no
6.DIPLOMA IN MARINE ENGINEERING Between 17 to 25 years no

*note:- IN DIPLOMA IN MERINE ENGINEERING most instition have 10+2 Science stream(mathematics) as the minimum education qualification is necessary but some institute do give admission to 10th passed student.

FOR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES:-

Eligibility – Medical

1.  3-Year BBA 10+2/equivalent(Minimum 60% Aggregate marks and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th) Between 17-25 Years After Qualification submit Physical Fitness from Registered Medical at the time of Certificate Verification
2.  4-Year B.Tech        (Naval architecture and Ocean                   Engineering)
3. 3-Year B.Sc (Ship Building and Repair) 10+2/equivalent()PCM-50% and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th
4.  4-Year B.Tech(Marine Engineering) 10+2/equivalent(PCM-60% and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th) Physical Fitness
1.  Candidates must be physically fit and should meet the medical requirement as specified by Director General of Shipping , Mumbai2.After Qualification submit Physical Fitness from Registered Medical at the time of Certificate Verification.

 

Eye sight
1.Movement of the eyeballs must be full in all direction and pupils should react normally to light accommodation.2.Normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart3.a)For DNS leading to B.Sc (Applied Nautical Science), B.Sc(Nautical Science) and B.Sc (Maritime Science) Programmes: Distance Vision unaided 1.0*(6/6)in better eye and 0.67*(6/9) in other eye.
3.b)B.Tech ( Marine Engineering) : Distance Vision unaided 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in better eye and 0.33*(6/18) in other eye

5.  3-Year B.sc                  (Maritime                    Science)
6.   3-Year B.sc (Nautical Science)
7. 1-Year DNS course leading to B.sc (Applied Nautical Science)
8. Lateral Entry to 2nd Year of B.Sc (Nautical Science) The candidate should have passed the 1-year Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) programme. Between 18 – 25 Years

FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES:-

1. 2-Year M.Sc (Commercial Shipping and Logistics) Category-I:
A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% marks from recognized universities and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree
Category-II:
50% of seats in each IMU Campus where M.Sc (Commercial Shipping & Logistics) is being offered shall be reserved for Seafarers with Master (FG) Certificate of Competency or MEO Class I Certificate of Competency.
There is no age restriction All Candidates who qualify for this course will have to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate from Registered Medical Practitioner
2. 2-Year MBA (International Transportation and Logistics Management A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks from a recognized universities. A minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th/ 12th/ UG Degree.
3.  2-Year MBA   (Port &                Shipping             Management)
4.  2-Year M.Tech                (Marine             Technology         and        Management) BE/B.Tech in Marine Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Naval Architecture with at least 60% marks from a recognized University. OR Associate Member of Institution of Engineers Part A and B in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks (by examination). OR Certificate of Competency for MEO Class I 
5. 2-Year M.Tech  (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) Engineering Graduate in Mechanical/ Civil/ Marine/ Naval Architecture or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks.
6. 2-Year M.Tech (Dredging and Harbour Engineering)
